Expansion of plate production at Dongkuk: Siemens receives Final Acceptance Certificate for 5-meter-plate mill in Korea
In December 2010, Siemens received the Final Acceptance Certificate from Dongkuk Steel Mill Co. Ltd. (Dongkuk) for the new 5-meter-plate mill No. 3. The mill was built at the company´s Dangjin works. The new mill is capable of producing high-quality plate with thicknesses down to 5 millimeters for applications in the shipbuilding and construction industries. Siemens were responsible for the complete engineering of all the mechanical and full supply of the Automation equipment.
