Evraz Group Appoints Director of Lean

The key priorities of Evraz Group (LSE: EVR) (“Evraz”) are cost reduction and efficiency improvements, achieved through the implementation of best practice operational and process management. Pursuing this strategy, Evraz Group announces the appointment of Scott Baus as Director of Lean. He will report directly to Evraz’s CEO.

Scott Baus is a leading expert in Lean management with 25-years of experience. He has led successful multiple programmes as a General Manager for The Boeing Company. As a Vice President for Simpler Consulting, Scott was responsible for the start up and implementation of the Royal Air Force, the Whole Navy Transformation and the United States Air Force in Europe AFSO21 (Air Force Smart Operations 21) programmes. Recently Scott worked with Singapore’s Ministry of Health and the National Healthcare Group on improving systems to deliver better health care, Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation and Sberbank. Scott has also lectured at the Skolkovo business school as an expert on Lean management and has participated on numerous councils for business improvement across the world.

Scott Baus graduated from the University of Butler (Indiana, USA) with a degree in Engineering and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Wichita State University (Wichita Kansas, USA). He also completed post-graduate course on technical projects at Wichita State University and has studied at the Toyota Company in Japan and Georgetown (Kentucky, USA).
