GREENPEACE International Climate Campaign

Unfriend CoalHi chawm,

Breaking in top IT blogs right now: We've just published an open letter from Kumi Naidoo, the international head of Greenpeace, to Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg. It's about getting Facebook to unfriend coal.

Our facebook coal campaign has grown to more than 500,000 people thanks in part to the viral power of Facebook groups. Now we need to spread the word beyond our Facebook groups, and take our message to where people have started to discuss facebook, and the internet's carbon footprint (like here).

Help drive the conversation - Please share this link by email, and in blogs, forums, your status on skype, gmail, and twitter, and wherever else you can think of:

Facebook: Unfriend Coal

And by the way, Veli-Matti Hagberg from Finland was the person who took us past the half-a-million mark last Friday night. A special-edition Amchitka music CD is on it's way to Veli-Matti now!

Warm wishes,

Greenpeace Facebook coal campaign team
