Another order from Chinese steelmaker: Siemens to supply electrical equipment for BOF converters to Handan Iron & Steel
Siemens Ltd. China received an order from Handan Iron & Steel Group Co. Ltd. to supply automation and drive equipment for three new BOF converters in its Handan Steel Works. The project has a total value of several million euros, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010. Siemens had already received orders earlier this year from this Chinese company to equip a bloom/beam-blank combi-caster and supply a new long-product rolling mill.
