Schulz Xtruded Products Joins SSTTAC
(Washington, D.C.) (April 10, 2012) -- The Stainless Steel Tube Trade Advancement Committee (SSTTAC) has announced that Schulz Xtruded Products (SXP) has joined the association. Schulz is a global producer of stainless steel pipe and tube which in 2011 established a new production facility in Tunica, Mississippi. It currently produces seamless stainless steel pipes in two to twenty-four inch sizes.
“SXP is delighted to join other U.S. producers as a member of the SSTTAC,” said Mr. Joseph P. Deason, President & CEO of the U.S. operations. “We share the concerns of other member companies with respect to the promotion of fair trade in seamless stainless steel pipe and tubing in the U.S. market. We will work with the SSTTAC to discourage foreign dumping in the U.S. market and government subsidization of foreign producers.”
The SSTTAC promotes domestic manufacturing of high quality seamless stainless steel tubing. To assure quality products in the marketplace, SSTTAC member companies produce tubing to industry and consumer specifications in accordance with guidelines and requirements of accreditation societies.
The Stainless Steel Tube Trade Advancement Committee is comprised of U.S. producers of seamless stainless steel pipe and tube. The SSTTAC website is www.ssttac.com. David A. Hartquist is Senior Partner in the International Trade and Customs practice group in the Washington, D.C. office of Kelley Drye & Warren LLP.
