It was long since that the issues of corporate governance are undertaken by several companies and the government. However, the issues of balancing the decision making forum with appropriate presence of participations from and representations of the society at large. The view, expressed by Prof. (Dr.) R P Banerjee, Director-EIILM where mostly highlighting on the diversity quotient and familiarity quotient. The diversity quotient attempts to highlight diversity in the decision making process and familiarity quotient attempts to reduce the impact of familiarity on the process of corporate decision making. Individual and group bias in decision making would thus be minimized and the companies will have a better position in developing a balanced and comprehensive view of the market and the economy. This would in a way substantiate the issues of sustainability across corporate corridors.
