BHUTAN ARMY CHIEF ON A VISIT TO INDIA

Maj Gen Batoo Tshering, the Chief Operating Officer of the Royal Bhutan Army is on a five day visit to India. The General, on his arrival at New Delhi, paid homage at India Gate and was then given a ceremonial guard of honour in The South Block Lawns. He later met General V K Singh and other senior officials and discussed matters of mutual interest. Tomorrow, he departs for Thiruvananthapuram from where he goes to Chennai on 16th March. He will be reviewing the Passing out Parade at the Officers Training Academy. India and Bhutan share good military relations with many officers and men of the Bhutan Army getting trained in India.
