IFGL Refractories signs pact with

National Metallurgical Laboratory

 

Kolkata, February 15, 2011  : IFGL Refractories Ltd (IFGL) has recently entered into a Collaborative Agreement with National Metallurgical Laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Jamshedpur for development of Injectable Scaffold derived from Bio-mimetic Hydroxyapatite Nanoparticles (60nm – 100nm) for Orthopaedic, Dental and Craniofacial reconstructions for treatment / repair of infra bony defects

 

IFGL is already a manufacturer of following Bio Ceramic Products as per know-how developed by a) Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata and b) Sree Chitra Tirunal  Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum

 

a)         CeraHip - Alumina Ceramic Femoral Head

 

b)         Synthetic Hydroxyapatite for plasma coating of  Implants (Prostheses)

 

c)        CeraEye - Synthetic Hydroxyapatite Orbital Implant

 

d)         BioGraft - Synthetic Bone Graft Granules and Preforms.

 

 These state of art products manufactured under processes having ISO and CE Certifications meant for Orthopaedic, Opthalmic, Dental and Oral & Maxillofacial segments are already being used at several speciality hospitals in India.
