About The Pearl Hotel:

It is born out of the experience and understanding of the current changes which the hotel industry is going through. The traditional hotel concepts of the Industry are taking a back seat, and newer, trendier concepts are what the young and vibrant traveller identifies with. However, all these emerging new trends have been restricted for the high end traveller. So to fill this gap, The Pearl Hotel has tried its best to make available a product and service which is high-end in look and feel, yet at an affordable price.

‘The Pearl Hotel boasts of cosy, intimate and quiet corners to refresh, rethink and reorient the mind. Mood management has been carefully thought out and accordingly mood lighting has been created all around. Local and indigenous talents have been used to translate the concept which was conceptualized by Mr. S. H. Rahman.

An existing hotel building was acquired by the Pearl group, in January 2008, which was fully renovated and redone as per the requirement of a discerning business traveller, transformed to provide a European look and feel. The boutique hotel has 34 rooms, which includes 2 suites, 2 junior suites and 2 banquets which can accommodate about 200 pax. The hotel also has a restaurant called Pasha that strikes the perfect harmony between Indian, Turkish and Chinese cuisines; between Cosmos and creation; between romance and reality. It is the true flavour of India, offering favourites from various regions of the country in its menu. The highlights are the assortment of Turkish delicacies.

“There is also going to be a roof top garden restaurant with breathtaking view of the Subhas Sarovar Lake on one side and the sprawling salt lake stadium on the other side, which is expected to be commissioned in the month of January 2009 along with a gym at the roof top”, said Mr. SH Rahman.

Right from the entrance to the refreshing reception to the harem of pasha in the ground floor, the hotel transforms itself in the evening with the concept of mood management .The handpicked artefacts and paintings in the rooms and in the public areas, the silk portiere cushioning, and the design elements, the personalised butler service and the compact, functional rooms, the boutique rendezvous are typical European elements blending with ethnic chic. With room rent in three categories ranging between $100 and $200, “The Pearl Hotel” is looking at a core clientele of corporate travellers and the European tour groups.

“We have taken up the crusade to provide a differentiation in style, distinction, warmth and intimacy with full service, in a relaxed and trendy ambience with attention to details, which we have observed and expected as a traveller over the years. It’s the accumulated experience and insight into the current changing trends and research in Europe that has enabled us to develop and implement the concept,” declares Mr S. H. Rahman. The core team comprises of Industry professionals, and a recent addition has been Mr. Shariq Ashraf, who has recently returned after a 5 year stint in Singapore, where he focused on Pearl Group expansion plans in the logistics sector.

The chief Promoters, of the Hotel are the Pearl Group of companies, a major player in shipping logistics based out of Mumbai.
