Order from Italy: Siemens to modernize medium-section mill for Riva in Sellero
Siemens VAI Metals Technologies has received an order from Riva Acciaio to modernize the roughing train of the medium-section mill in Sellero, Italy. The scope includes the complete process and mechatronics packages for the blooming stand, the electric and automation systems and the erection. The objectives of the project are to boost productivity and expand flexibility in respect of operation modes and product change. The modernization is to be completed in the second half of 2012.
